6" x 6" Oil painting on Canvas Panel

Summer is my favorite time of the year. My husband loves to plant a few tomato and pepper plants each year. We wait and wait, forever it seems, until he is finally able to harvest one or two. We eat them faster than they can ripen...for awhile. All of a sudden we're giving them to friends and family because they're coming off faster than we can eat them! I enjoyed painting this beautiful tomato in anticipation of what's to come!

This looks so luscious, like I could reach out and taste it! I haven't been able to grow tomatoes well here on the desert for the last nine years due to rabbit peslilence and temperature challenges, but I love your painting of these! I used to be able to grown them like yours, but the desert heat doesn't like them here, sigh. I'll look at yours and smack my lips....Susan
