Dearest Friend ~ Cocker Spaniel Painting

8"x10" Oil on Canvas
This painting is currently listed on Ebay

A portrait of our sweet Megan. Words cannot express how dear she is to me. Always by my side and always eager to please. She hates the mailman, adores kids and lives to tear up her toys!

"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too." ~ Samuel Butler, Notebooks, 1912

Doris, I love how you find the sweetness of life, the positive things, and depict them so well in your paintings. The little boy "skipping" the rocks has such a sweet posture and is so intent on what he is doing, the look on the face of an adored dog, they all just speak of your positive attitude toward life. There is enough dark and brooding art out there, please stay with your feel-good paintings, be they watercolor or oil, I like your attitude!
