Kites on The Beach
15" x 22" Watercolor on 200lb. CP Paper
This one was so much fun to paint. This couple was on a beach at the Outer Banks, watching their two adorable little boys as they were trying to get a kite into the air. I captured their expressions just as the kite finally took flight. Their joy (and relief!) in their children's accomplishment was so obvious, I knew I would paint this image someday. I hope you enjoy "Kites on The Beach".

Perfect! It is finished! Great emotion. Actually comforting to see this closeness between these too. Great capture and painting. The ocean line doesn't really bother me because it is not really a tangent; it is ever so slightly crossing at the very top of the shoulder line. Like where it is because it does add depth to the ocean.
