Thomas Point Lighthouse

11" x 15" Watercolor on 300 lb Paper
The Thomas Point Light is an active light station located on the Chesapeake Bay just south of Annapolis, Maryland. I am a fan of lighthouses and this one has always fascinated me. It is the only screw-pile light station still in its original location off of the Maryland shore. I enjoyed painting this familiar landmark and would love to do a series of lighthouses. This was a fun one. What a beautiful little guy this is. Oh...and yes, his eyelashes REALLY are that long!
